Police arrested a 64-year-old man in Placentia on Tuesday, after the seizure of a quantity of drugs.
The RCMP seized several dozen prescription and non-prescription pills and a quantity of marijuana following a search at a residence in the area.
During the search, officers noted that several pills were labelled 'ice.' The name is stamped into the pills, and is a common street name used to describe methamphetamine.
The RCMP said this is the first time this type of drug has been seized in the area.
The accused was arrested at the scene and later released. A charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking is pending.
