Poppy donation can thief strikes St. John's business
A man in St. John's has been arrested and charged with stealing poppy donation cans.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said they were alerted at 11:30 a.m. on Friday that a man had stolen a poppy can from a coffee shop on Kenmount Road.
Police charged a man, 39, with seven counts of theft, each of a similar nature at the Kenmount Road business.
He was released and will appear in provincial court in St. John's at a later date.
The RNC said the investigation continues.
