A Port Union man is facing a number of charges, including drunk driving while operating an all-terrain vehicle.

Bonavista RCMP say they stopped the 35-year-old Wednesday night on Route 230 in Catalina, after he initially fled from police.

They said the man was twice the legal limit.

He faces charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police and driving while prohibited.

The man was released from custody and will appear in Clarenville provincial court in April.
