Police seize firearms, drugs in Paradise
Two Paradise men were arrested and charged Wednesday in connection with a seizure of firearms.
The drug units of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in the Ashlen Crescent area of the town where they found guns and drugs.
Officers confiscated a lever-action shotgun with the stock sawed off and a Lee Enfield bolt action rifle.
They also seized a quantity of marijuana and ammunition.
A man, 22, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and production of a controlled substance under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
The other man, 25, was charged with a number of offences, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, contravention of firearm storage regulations and breaching of a court order.
