Police search for man linked to sexual assaults in St. John's
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is looking for a man who they believe is responsible for two sexual assaults in downtown St. John's.
Police said the offender involved in a violent sexual assault in the early hours of Dec. 1 in the Bonaventure Avenue area may also be responsible for an attack that was recently reported.
The RNC said the second "sexually motivated" incident happened in the same area of the city. It's believed to have taken place over the past month.
The suspect is described as being between 30 to 40 years old, tall, with a slim build and dark complexion.
The RNC has issued a warning, and is advising the public to be vigilant and take precautions.
