Water Street reopened after pedestrian knocked down by van

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a pedestrian-vehicle accident on a busy downtown St. John's street Tuesday morning.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a pedestrian-vehicle accident on a busy downtown St. John's street Tuesday morning.

Police issued a news advisory around 11:15 a.m. that the section of Water Street between Waldegrave Street and Adelaide Street would be closed until further notice.

By noon, the RNC had reopened Water Street to traffic.

A pedestrian was knocked down by a van in front of Shamrock City Pub.

There is no word on the pedestrian's condition.
