When Premier Kathy Dunderdale unveiled a new, leaner cabinet, St. John's Coun. Danny Breen immediately noticed something: there was no cabinet representative for St. John's.

Breen, the featured guest on this week's episode of On Point with David Cochrane, outlines his concerns that St. John's may not get the best representation at the cabinet table, even though Dunderdale herself represents the suburban St. John's district of Virginia Waters.

The question is also put to this week's political panel, who also debate whether municipalities should get a new financing deal with the provincial government.

Participating this week are Tory David Brazil, New Democrat George Murphy and Liberal Dwight Ball.

The On Point pundit panel — this week consisting of St. John's Telegram columnist Russell Wangersky and Federation of Labour president Lana Payne — takes on the controversy surrounding Lt.-Gov. John Crosbie's joke delivered after the cabinet swearing-in ceremony.

On Point airs each Saturday on CBC Television at 1 p.m. NT, 12:30 p.m. in most of Labrador.
