Northern Peninsula vessels vandalized

RCMP have arrested three people in connection with damage to fishing vessels in Port au Choix.

RCMP on the Northern Peninsula have arrested three people in connection with vandalism on the water.

During the Easter weekend, police received a report of extensive damage to a fishing vessel docked at the government wharf in Port au Choix.

During the investigation, the force learned that a number of other vessels had also been damaged, and several items were stolen.

Within days, police were able to identify and arrest three suspects. Two men and a youth were brought into custody and released.

They will appear in provincial court in July.

Police have recovered some of the stolen property.
