The days of double-digit growth may be over for now — but the housing market on the Northeast Avalon is far from bust. 

"The message is is that we're back to a more normalized housing market, as we call it at CMHC. We see price growth in line with inflation," Chris Janes, senior analyst with Canada Mortgage and Housing, told the audience at its annual housing outlook seminar in St. john's.
