No sign of drugs stolen from Labrador City hospital
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary continues to investigate the theft of drugs from the Captain William Jackman Memorial Hospital in Labrador City.
A break-in was discovered Monday morning, but police said it could have happened any time after July 10.
Authorities have not said what kinds of drugs were stolen, but they are concerned about prescription drugs ending up on the street.
RNC Sgt. Ryan Wentzell said police and health officials are worried that someone might use or sell the drugs without knowing what they are or the side-effects.
"I mean, obviously this is very concerning. It's something that you can't Google or simply go on Wikipedia and look at it on there," said Wentzell.
Police added there are several different types of medication, in different amounts, missing.
