Eight men from the Northern Peninsula are all $1.6-million richer.

They're part of a group of 15 that's splitting the $25-million win from Friday's Lotto Max jackpot.

The lottery corporation won't confirm their names, because they haven't picked up their winnings yet.

But CBC News has learned that the winners are all co-workers on an oil rig in Alberta who regularly kick in $100 each for tickets every week.
