Police in Port aux Basques arrested a New Brunswick man, 34, in connection with a drug investigation.
RCMP approached the man on Monday at the Marine Atlantic terminal, and found him in possession of approximately three pounds of marijuana and $850.
The accused was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking.
He was released from custody under court-imposed conditions.
Meanwhile, RCMP arrested a 19-year-old Port aux Basques man the next day, following a complaint from the public.
The accused was charged with two separate counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and was released on a promise to appear in provincial court in March.
