A trial date has been set for two men charged with second-degree murder in 2011.

Philip Pynn, 27, and Lyndon Butler, 23, appeared in Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court on Wednesday afternoon. Both are charged in connection with the death of Nick Winsor, 20.

Winsor was shot outside a home on Portugal Cove Road on July 9, 2011, during a botched robbery.

The trial for Pynn and Butler is set for September 2014.

Jonathan Rowe, 30, is accused of helping Pynn escape after the shooting. His trial is set for November 2014.
