Murder suspect gets new lawyers
A man charged with second-degree murder in the death of his former girlfriend has new lawyers.
David Folker is accused of killing Ann Marie Shirran in 2010.
In late September, his previous lawyers, Bob Simmonds and partners, were given permission to withdraw because of internal issues with the firm.
Jason Edwards and Scott Hurley are his new lawyers.
The legal team has just received documents about the Crown's case, but with only a couple of months to go before scheduled jury selection, the trial date, slated for early next year, may have to be postponed.
Whether there will be a delay will be determined when the lawyers are back in court in early December.
