The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to two calls of theft from separate businesses on Ropewalk Lane in St. John's Saturday night.

Police responded to the first call at approximately 11:30 Saturday night and arrested a 21-year-old-woman.

She was charged with theft and was released to appear in court at a later date.

RNC received another call at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday from a different business in the area.

Officers arrested a 24-year-old man and charged him with theft under $5,000.

Parole Services were notified of the incident and the man's parole was revoked. He was detained overnight at the lockup.
