RCMP are investigating three separate break and enters to homes in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

All three incidents happened early on Wednesday morning.

Around 2:20 a.m., an unknown man entered a residence in the Grand Street area. He gained entry through an unlocked door.

The second incident took place about 2:30 a.m. in the Court Manche Street area. As in the first incident, the house was unlocked and the perpetrator was scared off by the homeowner.

Police describe one of the suspects as being about five feet ten inches tall, with long shaggy-type hair and "possibly of aboriginal descent."

The third incident happened at about 4 a.m. A man broke into a residence in the Mesher Street area, where police say he assaulted a woman in the home.

The man and woman are known to each other. He was arrested and is facing several charges, including assault and break and enter.

RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspect in both break & enters in the Court Manche & Grand Street areas.
