Motorcyclist dies on Labrador highway

An American man, 32, is dead after a motorcycle accident on the Trans-Labrador Highway Monday.

Police have not released the identity of the man who died in a motorcycle accident on the Trans-Labrador Highway on Monday. (RCMP)

An American man, 32, is dead after a motorcycle accident Monday in central Labrador. 

It happened around 1 p.m., about 100 kilometres west of Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

RCMP said the victim was riding his motorcycle when it hit the back of another vehicle.

A police photo from the scene shows the bike on its side on a section of the dirt road that was under construction.

The RCMP has not released the name of the victim or his hometown.

It was the second fatal motorcycle accident in the province in less than three days.

On Saturday, a Paradise man, 50, died when his motorcycle struck part of a bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway, near the Foxtrap Access Road.
