3 rescued along with boat, returned to Cox's Cove

The Joint Task Force Atlantic found and recovered three missing people and their boat before returning them safely to Cox's Cove, N.L.

Search and rescue effort took place Monday night on N.L. west coast

Three people who had been missing were found off the west coast of Newfoundland and recovered safely by the Joint Task Force Atlantic (JFTA) Monday night, the rescue group said Tuesday.

The group tweeted Tuesday that a search had been carried out at Penguin Arm in the Bay of Islands, by a search and rescue helicopter out of Gander with the coast guard auxilliary and a passing vessel helping out. 

The three were taken to Cox's Cove after being rescued.
