Missing Newfoundland chef found

Jonathan Gushue, a St. John's-raised chef who had been missing since New Year's Eve, has been found.

A Newfoundland man reported missing on New Year's Eve has been found.

Jonathan Gushue, 41, has been living and working in Ontario as a celebrity chef.

Gushue — who heads the kitchen at Langdon Hall, a luxury hotel in Cambridge, Ont. — was last seen in downtown Toronto on December 31.

Cambridge police said Thursday that Gushue was located outside Ontario, but they have not said where, or revealed any details of his condition.

Gushue, who grew up in St. John's, is married with three children. His family said this is not the first time he'd gone missing.

Gushue has won accolades for his work at upscale establishments in Toronto, Vancouver, Tokyo and London.
