A man who was previously involved in a standoff with police on Springdale Street is now facing weapons charges in connection with the incident.

Justin Wiseman, 21, is also charged with having a weapon — a shotgun — dangerous to the public, and with pointing the shotgun at police officers.

The standoff took place at a house on Springdale Street on May 11-12.

Wiseman is also charged with robbing a nearby convenience store.

When he appeared in court on May 13, he was screaming and had to be restrained. On Friday, he apologized to the Crown prosecutor for his actions.

Wiseman is due back in court on May 24.
