RCMP in Clarenville say the Trans-Canada Highway will remain closed until further notice because of Saturday's landslide.

A large amount of rock, mud and debris is blocking a section of the highway in the Northwest Brook area, and traffic is being diverted through Ivany's Cove.

The Department of Transportation and Works is in the process of clearing up the road and will have to further evaluate the safety of the rock wall before opening the highway.

Police say no one was injured, and that further updates will be relayed to the public as they are available.
