A man in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, who was arrested Thursday for a crime spree, is now facing a sexual assault charge.

The accused, 25, was charged with break and enter and mischief, in connection with several incidents at the Hotel North Two early yesterday.

When officers arrived at the hotel, they found the suspect in the parking lot trying to break into vehicles. Police also discovered that the window had been smashed in the back of the building, and a door had been opened.

RCMP say that just a few hours after the man was released from custody — he allegedly broke the law again.

He's accused of sexually assaulting a 24-year-old woman from Shetshatshiu.

The man is now back in custody.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in all of the incidents.
