Striking workers at the Labatt brewery in St. John's voted on a new collective agreement, putting an end to a strike that has lasted over 10 months.

The new contract — which expires in March 2020 — contains wage increases for employees.

Workers at the brewery will head back to work as early as Tuesday next week.

In a release sent out Saturday, the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees President Carol Furlong said it took two months to reach the settlement.
