Premier Kathy Dunderdale still has the lowest approval rating of any premier in the country, according to a national online poll.
In Newfoundland and Labrador, only 24 per cent of people surveyed by Angus Reid approved of her performance.
While that's the worst rating in the country, it is an improvement of four percentage points over the September survey.
The poll was conducted during the first half of December, a few weeks before Dunderdale was criticized for her performance as leader during a series of storm-related power outages on the island.
The Angus Reid polling firm surveyed more than 6,500 people for the online survey.
The company says the results area accurate to within 1.2 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
