The jury has been chosen in the case of David Folker, who is charged with the second-degree murder of his girlfriend, Ann Marie Shirran.
Selection took place Wednesday morning in Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court in St. John's. The jury is comprised of six men and six women.
Folker is accused of killing Shirran three years ago.
She was last seen on July 18, 2010 at her home in Kilbride.
Her remains were found by campers in September of that year outside the community of Cappahayden.
Folker's eight-week trial is slated to start on Oct. 7.
The trial was originally scheduled to begin in early 2013, however Folker's lawyers withdrew from the case a year ago.
