John Pike became a new man on Monday after he cut his beloved dreadlocks for the first time in 13 years.
Pike, who works for CBC Newfoundland and Labrador, decided it was time for a change. And, he decided to make that change count. So far, he has raised over $7,500 for Young Adult Cancer Canada.
Pike's haircut was watched by his family and friends. It was also livestreamed on cbc.ca/nl
Pike let us go through his photo album filled with memories of his dreads. We've chosen some to show you, so you know what they looked like before they become memories themselves.
We've also storified this morning's proceedings.
