Finance Minister Jerome Kennedy announced his resignation from politics on Wednesday, ending a sometimes colourful career.
Kennedy served in the Progressive Conservative government as the MHA for Carnonear-Harbour Grace. He was elected in 2007.
Premier Kathy Dunderdale honoured Kennedy during a news conference yesterday, saying he was the force behind some of the biggest portfolios in the province, including Muskrat Falls.
He has been finance minister twice, and has also served in the Health and Natural Resources portfolios. He oversaw the province's response to the H1N1 crisis and recently introduced a controversial budget.
We've assembled some of Kennedy's memorable moments, going back before he was even an MHA.
