Jail, house arrest, sentence for St. Bride's man
Eugene Foley tried to flee from RCMP in June 2013
A St. Bride's man was sentenced to jail and house arrest on multiple charges after he tried to evade RCMP last year.
Officers tried to stop Eugene Foley, 45, back in June 2013 for suspected drunk driving.
He pleaded guilty to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, refusing the breathalyzer, initiating the police in pursuit and assault with a weapon.
Foley was sentenced to 30 days in jail, followed by eight months house arrest and two years of probation.
In addition, he's not permitted to drive a vehicle for two years, or own a firearm for three years.
