IceCaps trump Monarchs 5-2

The St. John's IceCaps defeated the Manchester Monarchs 5-2 to take the first game of a weekend series.

New team jersey also unveiled at Friday night's game

Eric O'Dell led the way with a goal and two assists and Eddie Pasquale turned aside 28 shots, as the St. John's IceCaps defeated the Manchester Monarchs 5-2 Friday night at Mile One Centre.

Jason Jaffrey, Kael Mouillerat, Blair Riley and John Albert had the other tallies for the IceCaps, who dominated from start to finish.

St. John's will face off against Manchester again Saturday night at Mile One Centre. 

The IceCaps also unveiled their new team jersey at Friday night's game, which features Cabot Tower as a part of the main logo, and a Newfoundland and Labrador flag on the left shoulder.
