IceCaps lose to Marlies in overtime

The IceCaps grabbed a point with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Toronto Marlies Friday night, in front of the 71st consecutive sellout at Mile One Centre.

The St. John's IceCaps lost another tough one at Mile One Centre Friday night.

They lost 3-2 to the Toronto Marlies in overtime. It was the team's 71st consecutive sellout.

Eric O’Dell and Kael Mouillierat each had a goal and an assist for St. John's. IceCaps goaltender Mark Dekanich made 40 saves, keeping his team in the game.

St. John's is in second last place in the Eastern Conference, 11 points out of a playoff spot. The Marlies are second overall in the West.

The two teams meet again Saturday night at Mile One. Game time is 7:30.
