It was one loss and one win for the St. John's IceCaps over the weekend, as the team struggled to improve their standing in the American Hockey League.
On Friday night, the IceCaps couldn't hold on to a two-goal lead in the first period, as the Norfolk Admirals came all the way back to win 3-2.
It was the first of two games played at The Scope in Norfolk, Va.
On Saturday night, however, the IceCaps bounced back for a 1-0 win over the Admirals.
Goalie Eddie Pasquale managed to stop each of the 28 shots against him during the shutout.
St. John's has now won two-of-three and has gained a point in three straight games.
The IceCaps now sit just five points back of the Worcester Sharks for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
