IceCaps down Marlies in 5-4 shootout win
Lowry scores two as St. John's earns series split with Toronto
Adam Lowry scored two goals and assisted on another, to help the St. John's IceCaps to a 5-4 shootout victory over the Toronto Marlies Saturday night at Mile One Centre.
Kael Mouillierat scored the game-winner in the shootout, while Patrice Cormier and Carl Klingberg had the other goals in regulation for St. John's. Eddie Pasquale made 35 saves, on top of stopping 3-of-4 in the shootout, and Brenden Kichton pitched in with two assists.
Drew MacIntyre turned aside 22 shots in taking the loss. Peter Holland led the way for Toronto with two goals, and Wade MacLeod and T.J. Brennan each scored one.
The IceCaps continue their home stand against the Manchester Monarchs next Friday, Jan. 17.
