Zach Redmond had a goal and an assist for the IceCaps, while Jerome Samson and Andrew Gordon picked up the other tallies.

Eric Hartzell, making his third start of the season, turned aside 24 shots for the Penguins in a losing effort.

With just under five minutes to play in the opening period, the IceCaps got on the board first, on a goal from Klingberg. After Hartzell made the initial save on Eric O'Dell's wrister, Klingberg scooped up the rebound in front of the net and backhanding it upstairs to make it 1-0.

The IceCaps will look for the sweep on Saturday night at Mile One. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m.
