Iceberg sounds picked up by divers near Bell Island
Icebergs cracking and rolling over have become common in this spring in Newfoundland and Labrador.
However, Jackie Haynes's sister-in-law, Miranda Fothergill, captured the sound underwater with a GoPro camera when an iceberg cracked and rolled above.
"Yesterday, [Miranda] did a dive off Bell Island with OceanQuest. While exploring wrecks, her GoPro picked up these horrendous noises like metal banging. Later to discover the iceberg above had cracked and rolled. Witnessed by the captain of their boat!" Haynes said.
Haynes said Fothergill is visiting the province from Malta.
You can see Fothergill's dive and hear the iceberg by watching the video.
