Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is advising that a transmission line servicing the Avalon Peninsula was out of service on Saturday.

The utility says the line tripped offline in the morning hours, but customers would not be affected as a second line is still fully operational.

Hydro says the issue has been identified and crews are working to repair the line, which should be back in service sometime in the evening.

Hydro reminds customers to be prepared in the event of an outage, and more information can be found on its website.
