Mark Yetman, a hockey player from Mount Pearl, has been sentenced to more time in jail for a third sexual assault.

Yetman, 24, was handed a three-year sentence in St. Catharines, Ont., on Wednesday for assaulting a woman in 2010.

He had already been sentenced to two years less a day for sexually assaulting two other women in 2009.

Yetman was playing hockey for Brock University when he committed the assaults.

In March, he led the Eastlink Cee Bee Stars to win the Herder Memorial Trophy, senior hockey's top award in Newfoundland and Labrador.
