Halloween stabbing may have been accidental
Police in Corner Brook are investigating whether an incident in which a teenage girl was stabbed in the leg on Halloween night was accidental or criminal.
The girl, 13, had been on a trail between Dunfield Park and Elizabeth Street when she was stabbed in the leg.
Police had originally said in a statement released on Tuesday that the girl reported that she did not know her alleged attacker, and that a knife was the weapon.
But the RNC later said the girl had been with a group of people who were trick-or-treating in the neighbourhood.
Police said the stabber had been in that group.
