Reports of gunshots in St. John's, no injuries or arrests

It happened around 11:50 p.m. on Watson Street.

Investigation has been handed over to major crime unit of the RNC

Police in St. John's are investigating a report of gunshots in the east end of the city Tuesday night.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called just before midnight to reports of gunshots being fired on Watson Street.

A spokesman with the RNC confirmed evidence of gunshots was found at the scene.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made as of early Wednesday morning.

The investigation has been sent to the major crimes division of the RNC.
