Guilty plea expected in Longside Club fraud case
The former manager of the Longside Club in St. John's is expected to plead guilty to defrauding the organization, following a court presentation on Friday.
Francis Costello, 39, is charged with fraud over $5,000.
The Longside Club is a social centre for people with disabilities.
Costello's lawyer, Michelle Coady, told a courtroom in St. John's on Friday that the case will likely proceed by way of speedy disposition, which would indicate a guilty plea.
The matter is back in court on April 30.
