Grenfell Handicrafts has recalled several of its children's outerwear items due to potential hazards.

Grenfell Handicrafts Infant Splash Suit, Infant/Toddler Snowsuit, and Children's Parka products have been identified by Health Canada as having hazards with drawstrings in the hoods in the garments, and in also at the waist of the Infant Splash Suit.

A Health Canada release said the drawstrings on children's upper outerwear can be caught on playground equipment, fences or in the case of a vehicle, the child can be dragged.

Health Canada said it has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of those products.

Health Canada said consumers should remove the drawstrings from the clothing immediately, and contact Grenfell Handicrafts at 1-709-454-3576 or through its website

Approximately 70 of the garments were sold between April 2012 and December 2013 in Canada.
