Two Newfoundlanders are among the dozen players picked as rookie all-stars by the National Hockey League.

The NHL announced the selection of Luke Adam of the Buffalo Sabres and Colin Greening of the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.

The league's all-star game will be played Jan. 29 in Ottawa. Adam and Greening, along with the other all-star rookies, will participate in the skills competition to be held the day before.

Adam is a 21-year-old center from St. John's. He has ten goals and ten assists in 42 games so far this season.

Greening, 25, is a left winger. He is also from St. John's. Greening has tallied nine goals and 14 assists in 44 games.
