Driver facing charges after hitting flag person in Shea Heights

A woman is facing charges after a flag person was struck by a vehicle in Shea Heights on Tuesday.

The flag person received minor injuries

Police have charged a 37-year-old woman after she allegedly struck a flag person with her vehicle in Shea Heights Tuesday morning. (CBC)

A woman is facing charges after a flag person was struck by a vehicle in the Shea Heights neighbourhood of St. John's on Tuesday.

According to police, the 37-year-old driver struck the worker around 10:15 a.m. and caused minor injuries.

The driver was then charged with failing to use due care and attention for a pedestrian, and operating an unregistered vehicle.

She will appear in court at a later date.
