Crews were still at the scene of a fire Monday at a shipyard in Harbour Grace, dealing with a blaze that broke out Sunday night on a fishing vessel.
A security guard noticed smoke coming from the Atlantic Navigator at 9:15. The 19-metre vessel had been in the yard for normal repairs and a paint job.
No one was hurt in the fire, which was fought by crews from Harbour Grace and Carbonear.
Paul Lannon, general manager of Harbour Grace Ocean Enterprises, said firefighters worked through the night to control the fire at the vessel, which is owned by Quinlan Brothers.
Lannon said the fire flared up again on Monday morning, and that the Harbour Grace department returned to put it out.
Lannon said the fire commissioner's office has taken control of the site, and that an investigation will begin.
The dry dock opened for business as usual on Monday morning.
