No one was injured when a fire broke out Tuesday at a house in Bishop's Falls, although five people were left without a place to live.

Two adults had been living on the main floor of the house, on Main Street.

Three other people were living in a basement apartment that included a converted garage.

No one was at home when the fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon. Damage to the house was extensive, and the cause remains unclear.

All five people are now staying with friends or family.

The Canadian Red Cross has offered emergency supplies, including food and clothing, to the displaced residents.
