House fire on Patrick Street by Adam Walsh December 23 2013

A fire in downtown St. John's has caused extensive damage to a home, and with one man being treated for minor burns. 

The St. John's Regional Fire Department was called to a house on Patrick Street at 12:15 a.m. 

Firefighters were on the scene for several hours. 

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said that while it appears the fire was accidental, investigators would be returning to the house later Monday.
