The fourth and final gun that was stolen when someone broke into a parked vehicle has been recovered, and like the others it was at the bottom of a pond in Portugal Cove-St. Philip's.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the pump-action 12-gauge shotgun was found in water off Bennett's Road.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay resident Mike Ash had properly packed the four weapons and had them ready to be shipped home when his rental vehicle was broken into, just outside the Don Cherry's Sports Grill restaurant in St. John's.

Ten days after the Nov. 20 robbery, the first three weapons were recovered from the same pond.

No arrests have been made in the robbery.

The RNC said the matter is still under investigation.
