Grand Falls-Windsor is poised to make a big change this spring, with a reinvention that will see the town emerge as Exploits City.
"We'd love to be the third city on the island. Or is it the fourth city?" said Coun. Bruce Moores, adding that the town needs a rebranding exercise in the wake of the closure of the Abitibi newsprint mill.
Moores said that city status and a new name would help land bigger acts for the annual Salmon Festival.
"Bruce Springsteen would be a laugh," Moores said. "It'd be no trouble to take him on, if we became a big city."
