A pharmacy employee was injured when he confronted two armed robbers Thursday.

It happened just before 7:30 p.m. at Villa Nova Pharmacy in Conception Bay South.

Two suspects demanded narcotics but fled on foot empty-handed.

The worker received minor injuries.

In a separate incident, the Marie’s Mini Mart on Torbay Road was held up shortly after 9 p.m.

Police say a lone suspect made off with money and cigarettes.

Arrests have not been made in either case.
