Police in the St. John's area arrested two people for drunk driving late Tuesday night.
Around 10:50 p.m., the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called after a hit-and-run collision was reported on Brookfield Road.
No one was injured and damage to the vehicles was described as minor.
One of the drivers has been charged with impaired driving as well as failing a breathalyzer.
Around midnight, the RNC headed to the Goulds area after a car left a road and landed in a ditch.
The driver, 52, was arrested at the scene. He was also charged with impaired driving and failing a breathalyzer. He was held overnight in the lockup for an appearance in provincial court.
