Driver survives eye-popping crash in Happy Valley-Goose Bay
RCMP are still trying to determine what caused a scary crash in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Monday.
The impact left the front half of the car crushed under the tanker, with its roof partially sheered off.
Somehow, the 68-year-old male driver — who had to be cut out of the car — escaped with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the tanker was not hurt.
Police say it appears the southbound car slammed into the truck as it was turning north onto Hamilton River Road.
The road was snow-covered at the time.
RCMP say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the accident.
